That sounds good to me we are paying a lot more. What does the 1,200 include?

I would def see whatthat includes. Chances are it doesnt come with a lot of editing and extra like DVD with chapters etc.

We got photo video as a package for 4500

it includes 3 edited dvd's or videos and a copy of the raw footage

No, I don't think so. Most of the quotes that we have gotten were around that or higher.

Re: is 1200 too much

how much time will he be there?

What kind of camera does he use?

Have you seen examples or his work?

Asked for refrences?

Can you pick video music?

Will he work with suggestions you have (IE interviews with guests, table shoots whatever)

Thats sounds like a really low price compared to what I've come across!

Re: is 1200 too much

Sounds to me like it's not enough...but i guess it all depends what you are looking for. Be sure you see samples of his work and try to talk to someone who has actually used him.

We are using

Julie Radino VSofNY
BayShore 631 274 0074

FH is kind of shy so Julie is doing separate video shoot of FH and firneds...with their stock cars

we are getting: one camera ceremony & reception will come to house 2 hrs prior and stay til end of reception (10.5 - 11 hr day!) 6 dvds also all raw footage
assistant will go to FH house for the start of his day...

at least 150 digistal zap shots for DJ plasma screen we will also get that dvd

dvd will included baby memories, special effects, chapter master credits, reecap, honeymoon, full digital editing

cost $2495

dep 300
1900 wedding day
295 upon delievery

Talk to Julie...he's got lots of other packages and will work with you. And he's the kind of person who won't be in your face. BTW...he recently did Alfonse D'Amatos wedding...

good luck!

Re: is 1200 too much

i think i am paying alittle more than that, it is definitely not too much, as long as the quality is there

Sounds like a good price. I paid 750 just for the video guy to come with an assistant. My BIL does the editing and I can tell you that it takes them a really long time to complete the editing.

wow! that is actually a good price. We are paying 2k.

that sounds like a good price. It's kind of low ball. Most people spend about 2k.

Re: is 1200 too much

thank you all..850 sounds good to me too!!

Re: is 1200 too much

Depends on what you are getting. I say the average starting price is $1500 for a 'full blown' video, w/ effects, recap etc. For $1200 you could be getting alot, just get in writing what is included. I have yet to find a video for under $1000 & that price is normally your basic video, no effects, no recap, etc.

Re: is 1200 too much

Thats what we payed based on a recommendation from a friend. We haven't seen our video yet, but I am confident that it will be good ( even for that price)

Eveyone else I researched wanted 1800- 2600.

I think 1200 is great and if this person is reputable GO FOR IT!
