So ladies; i haven't posted much about my wedding in a while...well after a horrible experience with a hall in long island that we cancelled. We decided to forget about the whole big wedding ordeal and just go away with friends & family!
We just got back from Florida this past weekend. Stayed at the Westin Fort Lauderdale and we're thinking about doing in there! Our options are May right before it gets REALLY hot...or wait until this time next year which is their HIGH season and the rates for our guests hotel stays as well as airfare will be much higher!
But May is 6 months from now!! We really have been bad with saving which means we'll have to buckle down the next few months...the wedding planner at the resort will take care of EVERYTHING. All we need to do is pick out our attire; invites and colors. Oh yea and come up with the Money! LOL!
Just want to make sure we're not crazy here!! THe other good point about doing it in May is we can finally just get this over with!! This means this time next year we'll hopefully be pregnant already!!

I say go for it!!! I'm booked for Nov 12th, but i feel like it's so far away, and I want to start with babies too already!!! If i didn't want the whole big wedding thing, i'd totally do that! good luck!!

If you have a lot of free time in the next 6 months then you can absolutely do it!!! If you have a lot going on then it may be very overwhelming

It's odd though-i thought Long Island weddings were expensive...try doing it on a resort! We're quoted 3 times the price per person for a full reception w/open bar; ch and reception etc.
But guess since our guest list is now cut by half if not more with people that we actually can invite & want @ the wedding. We can afford to pay the extra money and really have it the way we want!!!

if you can save up enough money in 6 months, then go for it ....
just a side note: if you do get married in May, then depending where you order from, you may need to rush-order your dress (and BM dresses) which will cost more money.

this doesn't sound bad at all especially if the venue will take care of everything. This is pretty much like a destination wedding so I'm assuming there won't be too many people invited right? if u don't have too many people invited, 6 months is not too late to let them know.
