Is 70-75 people too small a wedding?

My FH and I invited around 92 people to our wedding and as of right now 70 are coming is this too small? Not like I can change this now and honestly, I wanted just the people that were close to us. But does it seem too small? I am also stessing now b/c I hope guests won't feel like our bridal party is too big for our wedding. We are having 5 bridesmaids 1 MOH and 1 BM and 3 groomsman. I guess I am just stressing b/c it's in less than 30 days.

I think 70 is perfect. Just enough for you to be able to see and talk to everyone and still have a really good time.

I was at a wedding last December that only had 40 guests and her BP was 4 on each side. It was one of the most fun weddings I have been to because it felt like everyone could relax and get to know each other and have a great time.

I'm sure everyone there will be focused on you and your FH and the beautiful wedding, not counting heads.

Just relax and enjoy the rest of your time as a bride-to-be!!

I'd say 3 people is perfect. The two of you and someone to do the ceremony! Hey, it's about the union, not the party. I think 70 is a lot of people when you think about it. Would you ever invite 70 people to your house? no way! It's just too many

the smaller the better

we guaranteed 80 and were shooting for 100. so far we have 98, and are missing 2 responses. we wanted a smaller, intimate affair and so far are pretty much on target!

the only 'concern' i would have (and had) with a small number is the party 'getting lost' in the room. if your room is large, i would figure out ways to fill it up with decorations...

Not small at all. We're having about 45.

I went to a beautiful wedding with 60 people last night where almost everyone was up and dancing. Don't invit fillers, a wedding is for YOU, not them!

I personally love smaller weddings....They are much more intimate and you are able to actually talk to all your guests.

We always knew we'd be having a small wedding (we only had to guarantee 75 at our hall), and after inviting a little over 100 we had 86 people at our wedding.

We had a small bridal party as well (2 on my side, 3 on DH's) yet originally we were going to have a MUCH bigger BP and I never thought twice about it.. As long as you are having the people who matter to you in your BP and at your wedding, then you'll be fine

I also thought that is might seem 'too small' when I was planning...but honestly, I wouldn't change a thing! I got to spend SO much more time with my guests this way, and we visited each table a few times to take pics, etc. It never seemed 'too small' and the party was still a huge hit!

Every single person I chatted wtih told me they really liked that the wedding was on the small side and I couldn't agree more

YOUR day is going to be wonderful no matter if there are 400 people or 40!

Enjoy and have fun with you FH .. THAT is the most important part

I think that's a great #. We're having about 90. Don't worry about the bridal party total either, we're having 7 each . Not that I am the yardstick to go by, but really I don't think it matters.

I had 70 first time and 75 this time. It is perfect because you get to talk to everyone, and that makes it so intimate and special.

Don't stress, just ENJOY!!!

No way, the Carriage House is pretty small and intimate, I think that would be perfect.

are you kidding? i am hoping 50 people will say no and i can have a wedding for 75!! I think it's an ideal #.

FH and I are expecting about that many, and I am happy with that. His family is from the midwest and we aren't expecting them to come, hence the small number. But I think you'll be more able to mingle with your guests and enjoy yourself. I have a few friends who had 200+ at their weddings, and they complained that they didn't get to eat.

I went to a wedding in April at the Carriage House; there were probably about 100 people there but I think 70 is a perfect number- it was a little crowded for us, but it's a great place.
