Is a hair trial necessary???

Hey, I just wanted to know if you guys think a hair trial is really necessary. I'm using the same hair stylist that did my engagement and I loved it. My mom also did her hair there and it came out great. Their prices are reasonable and it's a small town salon. I would love your feedback, thanks!

If you know and trust your stylist then I dont think its necessary. Ive been going to my girl for about 5 years now so Im not gonna do a hair trial.

i don't think it's really necessary if you're comfortable with that person. I don't have a hair person so that's why i'm doing 1 or 2 trials.

If you trust her to do exactly what you want then that is up to you. Just keep in mind if you don't have a trial, the day of the wedding will be the first time she will be placing your headpiece and veil. If you do not want a trial just make sure you play around with your hair to make sure you know where you want your headpiece.

I think it is necessary. Even if you trust your stylist you might pick a style that she does perfectly but you might not like it on you

If you already know them and have used them then maybe you dont need a trial. But if you want a desired look to see how your hair will look the day of then I would do a trial. Or are you just going to tell this person the way you want it and just trust him to do it ???

Thanks guys. I think I might get the trial for the style I want just to make sure that it looks good on me and that all goes smooth on the day of. Thank you soooo much, got a little peace of mind now.

i agree...I thought i wanted a certain style and then at the trial she said she'll do it my way and also after change it just a little bit and thank god bc i loved it 10x better and i wouldnt have thought of that myself, the day of the wedding i wouldnt want to take chances so i wouldve said no just do it my way...i would test the hairstyles out and see how it looks on you

I feel like it is necessary. This way you know exactly what you want and exactly what youre going to get on your wedding day.

I had my hair trial and it took 3 different styles until i found one i loved. now the day of the wedding I know i'll be happy

I agree with the girls, if it is a stylist you love or have used before, then no, I don't think one is necessary.

i will definatley be going for one only b/c i want to make sure that hairstyle is the ONE. I dont want to be in a scramble the day of the wedding and hate my hair. But if your using someone you definatley know and trust i guess its not necessary.

I completely agree. I'm even going for a second trial a month before the wedding b/c I want to change up the style just a little bit, plus my hair is longer and I want to see how everything is going to look and to take photos to bring for day of to remind her.

i think the hair trials will give you the opportunity to try different styles out with your accessories like your veil, hairpiece, etc... what you envision in your head may not be what you get on your wedding day. at least you'll know what to expect when the day comes.

I agree with Jess. I have been using the same hairstylist for 10 years, but I want to make sure we pick a style that looks great on me ... so I am going for at least one trial, probably 2 or 3 :) I have no idea what I want for my hair yet!!!

I would definitely go for a trial! Maybe wait till you get your headpeice, but just to be 100% certain you love what you pick!
