A line is a line. When was her AF due?

Re: Is a VERY faint line a positive result?

Has she used these same tests ever before?

There is a certain test that does not agree with me and gives me lines even if I take it during AF..this is the only reason I ask!

YES it could be a BFP!!
She could wait and test again in a day or 2 and see if the line is darker (and the levels increase in her body).

Yes - a line is a line -
but to be really sure - she should get one of those tests that says pregnant/not pregnant - thats what I used.

Do your levels have to be higher to use one of those digital tests? Will the early response test show a faint line before the digital ones will work?

Well, I took mine the day I was supposed to get my AF.
If there is a faint line (of First Response)- I would think there has to be some of the hormone level there for it to even register a line.

But do you think the digital tests would pick up on the hormone to show a BFP?

I thought First Reponse was one of the better tests because it's sensitivity is 25 miu. I know the Aimstick is 20 - I don't know about the digital tests.

Probably not if its before Af is due. I took mine when it was due.

That's what I was thinking too.

In Nov, I took 3 EPT tests, and they all came out with a very lite 2nd line... and I was pregnant.

As long as a 2nd line is there, and it's within the 15-20min window after taking the test, then it's +.

I took a digital test the night before AF was due and it came up pregnant...

Awww, that stinks - I really thought it would be positive - especially since there was a faint line.

Sorry... So, are they saying it was a missed miscarriage? What else could account for the 14 HCG level? I've still got my fingers crossed for her that the numbers will be going up rather than down.
