Re: Is a VERY faint line a positive result -UPDATED
I've read that it is very common for a woman to miscarry before she even knows she is PG...thats why some people advise against using the early result HPTs.

Agh, I missed that part. That makes perfect sense. DO you know if she was taking Gonal F or the Follistem pen or something similiar to those? If so, it would take about 10 days for the hcg to leave her system. Her dr. was very very wrong to not tell her this! A lot of woman who go through that use the cheapie internet HPT's so that they can see it leave their system and know when it is real vs. false. I am still in shock that her dr. never explainined this to her.

It is very common!
My friends situation is a little different. She had to take a shot the day before her IUI to induce ovulation. Little did she know that it contained HCG. The dr. thinks it could be traces of the HCG that are causing her to get all the positive results - even her blood work came back positive - but with very low numbers. If she doesn't get AF today, she has an appointment for tomorrow to get more blood drawn. It could be that her numbers go up - That's what I'm praying for, but she doesn't think it's going to happen.
The last 4 days were such a roller coaster ride for her. I feel so bad, and there is nothing I can do for her.
