is anyone...

really scared that they wont be able to have a baby?

I dont know if this is an irrational fear of mine, but I keep thinking about it. I had two miscarriages in 2005 (not with FH).; I have high risk drs to go too...I know some of the issues....thyroid and blood clotting and I am monitored and take baby aspirin, but I'm so scared it will never happen. I try to be positive, but sometimes the feel overwhelms me.

I want to to try right away just to see if it will work, but I know we should wait a little while since we are trying to save money and get out of debt to buy a house.

i made some mistakes when i was really young and im afraid i will be punished for it as an adult. the doc says everything is ok on my end but with my luck something will go wrong. plus, im getting old!!!!!!!

i am too- i am on bcp and even still i am always afraid im going to get pg- however DH always tells me that if i keep acting like that when i want it to happen its not. I def dont want to get pg for atleast another 2 years however when i TTC i hope i can

a friend of mine was told since she was 13 years old that she will never be a mother (she had a cyst on her ovary) .... well, she's pregnant now

I made some pretty big mistakes too when I was yound and dumb...but I am happy to say that I now have two beautiful children age 13 and 9, yes I am old!! , who are healthy and happy!!

I know lots of people have fears beforehand. It will all work out.

I am a little worried. Not only that I won't be able to get pg, but that something could go wrong... A friend of mine lost her second child in childbirth and went through a LOT to get pregnant again. Fertility shots, surgeries, not to mention the therapy, the nightmares and heartache....

She is due late june now and the pregnancy has been going well...

I'm also worried about me bc I was on the pill for almost 13 years (if i'm doing my math correctly -- i'm off it now), i have NEVER had even a scare (not sure what that means) and i'm getting old, too...

so sorry about your miscarriages.... that's so hard....

Thank you! I Love stories like that! They def give me hope. Yaay for your friend. I heard another story like that once. All her life this girl thought she couldn't get pg because drs said that, and then she had one or two kids!


Thanks girls. I just get extra nervous, since I know this will be happening SOON, and we both want to have kids so bad.

I totally felt like you. My sister had a tough time at the begining but is now a mother of 2 beautiful babies.
I know theres a lot of girls on LIF preg board with similar stories to you and they are having healthy pregnancy now.
Follow what your dr says and dont give up!

I'm 32, and I also have this fear. My mother is not helping this fear, as she keeps telling me that if anything is wrong, there are many things doctors can do to help (Backstory, her goddaughter doesn't ovulate and docs were able to help her conceive). I know she's just trying to reassure me if something were to happen, but still, it doesn't help the anxiety.

FH is 37, going to be 38 at end of this month, and he also contributes to the anxiety by telling me all the time we can adopt if we can't conceive. That's great that he wants a child that badly (his cousin adopted a child), but it's almost like he's fearing something too.

Ugh.

I have a thyroid condition and I am concerned that I might not be able to have a child. But it's too early to start trying right now.
(i did have a miscarriage 8 yrs ago)
