Is anyone...

having or had a junior bridesmaid in their wedding party??

FH's god daughter is in mine ( LOVE HER!) she is going to be 12 next year. How much of the wedding do jr. bms usually participate in besides walking down the aisle? Im not sure if i should take her with us for pre-pics and should she be getting dressed with the rest of the bms? is she too young or will she feel left out? Her mom wouldnt be there and she doesnt know any of the other bms well.

Any one have experience with this?

Ok so I have 2 instances:

1. I have a junior bm; she is FH niece and we are super close with her & her siblings so they actually are all in our wedding party. She is 12 also. I have kept her super involved so she feels special. She actually has the same exact dress as the BM's. When I text my BM's about wedding stuff, I text her as well...she loves it! And she will be getting ready with us girls....she is so excited! Probably just as excited as I am...it's cute. Difference is her mom is also one of my BM's but either way she likes the fact that she's involved...makes her feel like she fits in and you know that age: they love to fit in!

2.When I was 12 I was my aunt/uncles junior BM. I too had the same dress as everyone else and actually slept over my aunts house with the rest of the BM's the night before and got up and got done up and dressed with the rest of them. It was an AWESOME experience and I felt so grown up...and by the way I knew no one except for my aunt and I remember all the girls being so nice to me and I had a blast....

So with that said I think its great to have her involved and I'm sure your girls are just as awesome and they will make her feel like one of them!
