If so, how have you structured your fee? My company would like me to structure it project-based, but because my projects don't have a solid beginning, middle, and endpoint it's hard for me to gauge the total time it will require for me to complete? Any thoughts?
You can do it hourly. Part of my company does consulting engagements and they are priced either way.
I am not a consultant and do not know what you do but if you don't have a defined beginning, middle, or end maybe you can set milestones. For example when you produce a certain report or something then x% is due. This type of arrangement would be a milestone based fee schedule. Just an idea.
