Is anyone afraid of FH or yourself backing out of wedding at the last minute

so I know this is kind of a bad topic for this board since it should all be happy :) but this does happen . my friend is getting married to this guy that when they used to date (broke up got back together now ) he bolted without telling her anything they were never engaged at that point but they were very serious about one another very in love and for some reason his family didnt approve so he just stopped calling her ! now they are getting married and she is afraid of him bolting again now ! I feel so bad for her that she has to worry about all this now .... she feels like the pressure may get him again :(

Yep, I posted on it. I canceled my wedding, took off two days from work..went back..and got LAID OFF after being with the company for six years!
It was just a bad, bad week.
FH and I are still together but we are not getting married. I just couldnt go through with it. I feel good though. I was upset, but I know I did the right thing.

That's not something that I'm worried about but you're friend should definitely sit down and talk to him if she is that concerned! Make sure he is in it for the long haul but it's a delicate subject so tell her to be gentle!

Maybe she should consider getting married BEFORE the wedding.... you know?

They can do a small justice of the peace thing... that way they are MARRIED and she doesn't need to sweat on the day of the actual WEDDING.

Just a thought...

ETA: I KNOW that I am not going anywhere... and since we share 2 kids, a mortgage and a bank account... he ain't going anywhere either!
