Is anyone afraid of FH or yourself backing out of wedding at the last minute

so I know this is kind of a bad topic for this board since it should all be happy :) but this does happen . my friend is getting married to this guy that when they used to date (broke up got back together now ) he bolted without telling her anything they were never engaged at that point but they were very serious about one another very in love and for some reason his family didnt approve so he just stopped calling her ! now they are getting married and she is afraid of him bolting again now ! I feel so bad for her that she has to worry about all this now .... she feels like the pressure may get him again :(

Not worried at all! This time! The first time I was married me and my ex knew we shouldn' t have gotten married. It's a long story but we did get married. The night before he called me up and asked me to please not leave him at the alter. Young and stupid! Oh Well!

WOW! That's a rough one, all I can say that maybe he has grown up this time and is ready for the 'real world'. This time there is a commitment in place, so hopefully all will work out for her. He was willing to take this step, i'm sure he'll take the next. Lots of luck to her!!!

On the other hand, if he bolts, it wasn't meant to be and as her friend you can be there for her and she'll get through it....Better to know now then later.

I guess she is just nervous he never showed signs the first time he was the one who was so in love with her it was silly seeing them together they were so crazy for one another each time she contacted him after he left he would say I'll call you I promise bla bla never had the guts to tell her !! she was so broken it took her a long long time to even be able to say his name without bursting in tears so I'm worried I'd hate to see her hurt but I dont offer any advice when she asks I cant I dont know ...

not worried about FH bolting...but i've been considering calling the wedding off lately myself..

thanks a lot i really appreciate that...it'll be ok...its just stress...i'm trying to find a job...we're still living with his parents...its all this little stuff and it adds up after awhile...but we're working at it slowly and surely

planning is hard believe me the stress is unbearable at times :( I'm sure you guys will be fine :) I saw your makeup trial pics looks beautiful very natural and pretty :) good luck with everything :)::

I'm not nervous at all-but if I were your friend-I would be. That is a little weird-him just leaving so suddenly-was there another girl? Hopefully he has grown up and learned to make his own decisions.

no not another girl his family didnt approve of her even though at that point had not even met her yet !!! so who knows

I am not nervous at all. Having been in the shoes of a person who was once engaged......the girl should know and see it coming! b A guy or girl running out, just does not happen..it's building and there is a major fault in the relationship when it does happen!

Yep, I posted on it. I canceled my wedding, took off two days from work..went back..and got LAID OFF after being with the company for six years!
It was just a bad, bad week.
FH and I are still together but we are not getting married. I just couldnt go through with it. I feel good though. I was upset, but I know I did the right thing.

geez im not worried about that...i mean if they are getting married i am sure they worked out their differences.

I think we have a great relationship, but his family is starting problems and I am really not dealling with there crap. I will back away if they do not stop treating me so bad, but diffrent topic. I am not scared that he would do that to me.
