If so, can you tell me what your RH is giving you in place of it if you don't mind me asking. The person I'm getting the cake through said that the hall should be offering me something seeing that they won't have to supply my cake. Thanks

Did you see the cakes at the WM? I am getting married there too and I heard the cakes there arent that great. I heard you can get the cakes from their bakery Erga's. I havent seen their cakes but if I dont like them, then I will order my cake from somewhere else.

i am its a family tradition for FH (his mom and aunt, bake and decorates) and I cant escape it, but i think the cake i picked is way to big, so im not sure what to do withthe one from RH..im gonna call them today

Thanks. I just figured I'd bring my own cake. FSIL was a pastry chef and her friend owns a shop so I went there today and I plan on having a kick *** cake I know that the pictures look nice but I feel more comfortable bringing my own. I want it to be pretty and delish

I know I want to make sure the cake is delicious so I may consider getting one elsewhere. However I will probably ask my hall to replace it with the chocolate fountain or something like that.

we're getting a mini-dessert display in lieu of a cake.... Just be aware that most halls charge $1.50 - $2.50 / slice to cut a cake from an outside vendor.... stupid becuase they'd have to cut their own cake, I know.... another quest for more $$$$
we ordered our cake from our favorite bakery (bonne boulangerie / dortoni's)...

Our hall is providing the cake but they can do whatever we want and we tasted some samples-DELICIOUS!!!! OMG! The RH is supposed to have the best food in NJ and so far we ahve to agree heh. We are having vanilla cake with fresh napaolean filling (they mix real fresh whipped cream with bavarian cream) and fresh berries. Whipped cream icing. YUMMY!

My rh has nice cakes but i am bringing my own, has nothing to do against JT cakes but before we even picked out our RH i knew i wanted a cake made by colette peters...Ive seen her on cake competitions on the food network and her work is amazing.

I am also having my cake delivered. My venue doest actually include a cake in their package but ive heard that sometimes RH's will substitute the cake for a free viennese hour and stuff like that. You should definitly look into it.
The woman with the big eye glasses is sylvia weinstock, shes doing our cake, and i highly reccomend her. I havent seen my cake yet obviously but shes the most nicest and responsible person to deal with.

Thats her name, thanks!!. I def want to meet with her. I saw a cake that she did for a wedding at Capitale and OMG, it was 14 tier and amazing. The cake is the most important thing and it has to be perfect. Besides the bride and groom, the cake is the center of attention, lol

yes they both do beautiful cakes...i am not into flowers and that is sylvia's style but her cakes are amazing dont get me wrong...i like more the different shapes, mad hatter style and things like that so that is why i will go with colette..if i wanted a cake with alot of flowers then i would def look at sylvia or ron-ben israel
