...a dollar/money dance at their reception? I have been thinking about doing it. Story: I was the flower girl at my uncles wedding when I was like 5. and That is the only thing I remember. Even though I was so young, I actually remember my Uncle and Aunt dancing with everyone, and getting money pinned on them. All I can think is that I obviously remembered it for some reason, and I am thinking about doing it. I know now a days it might seem tacky to some, but from what I hear it is something that has been done quite a few times in my family. What do you girls think? (at this point I don't give a rats you know what about what his family thinks)

Re: Is anyone doing...
I personally don't think I'm doing one, but I'm up for anything that others like that is fun. I don't be all elegant and royal at my wedding, I want to have fun! Go for it if it means something to you.

I am not doing it for 1 main reason, it's time consuming.
I want to make sure people are having a GREAT time!!

Re: Is anyone doing...
I grew up going to weddings in (according to some on here) boring Pennsylvania anyway...... When most people do the 'dollar' dance at weddings there, after dancing with bride and/or groom they get a shot! I've seen people seriously stuff $20 and $50 bills into the hands of MOH and BM for a turn to dance and get a shot of JD or whatever other booze being poured up.

I just thought that is what you did and when i brought it up around here they said they've never heard of it....its funny you mentioned it. I'm getting married in PA too so maybe it's something i can do...hmmm we are doing greek dances for FH why not this for me?
What if your RH doesn't allow shots??

I would ask them first. Maybe if limited to that dance they would allow. My RH is including the liquor for that too, I really lucked out on that one!

Re: Is anyone doing...
not doing it there was a thread about this a few weeks ago I'll find it.
FUnny you guys mentioned PA, FH and I just bought land down there to start building a house! I can't wait....maybe this dance is 'in the cards' I'm not doing liquor, but maybe I'll get some just for the dance....then it will be that much more fun! Thanks girls!

Re: Is anyone doing...
If it is something that is done in your family and reminds you of your Aunt and Uncle then go for it and who cares what others think. Just make it fun for everyone.
