i'm doing either floating candle or candelabra centerpieces .. i didnt want flowers at every table.

Where is a good place to look for candle centerpieces. I am not crazy about having flowers either.

John Anthony's rents them out, so ask your hall, they might be able to give you some direction...

Since I am going with a nautical/beach theme, I am gonig to have a large hurricane candle in the middle, with some small votives, sand, and seashells around it. I just love candlelight and hope this will bring a warm glow to the reception. of course, now I just need to find someone to help create my vision!

I am having hurricane lamps surrounded by holiday greenery & pinecones. My reception hall (Danford's) is providing the hurricane lamps.

Don't you just love when the reception hall provide things like that. My reception site, Land's End, is also providing them. One less thing to worry about!!

I am hoping to still do my feather centerpieces but I am impatiently awaiting parts to get them assembled I may just have to ditch the idea and go with flowers

I am doing a 1/2 dozen long stem roses in a vase with two long candles on a star base on each side.

I bought heart shaped ivy topiaries from abcDistributing for my centerpeices. I am going to put votives and flower petals on the table around it also. Here's a picture:
