Re: Is anyone doing the Hand Ceremony?
We did it. Our priest was really open to the idea and read it before we exchanged vows. It really personalized our wedding. Afterwards, so many of our guests commented about how beautiful it was and how they had never heard of it before.

Re: Is anyone doing the Hand Ceremony?
We wanted to do it but our monsignor is old school and says it will interfere with the mass...we're going to do ours at the reception after the bm speech.
Here are the sayings:
Bride-, please face -Groom- and hold his hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will comfort you in illness and hold you when fear or grief fills you. These are the hands that will give you support and celebrate with you in your accomplishments.
-Groom-, please hold -Bride- hands, palms up, so that you may see the gift that they are to you.
These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times. They are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick or console you when you are grieving. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the year, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you to fulfill your dreams. Together, as a team, everything you wish for can be realized.
999999999999999999999999999999999999999 We did it before our vows.
[OFFICIANT] With our hands, we make and affect the things that surround us and shape our lives. They can be considered a representation of who we are through what we choose to do. In any relationship, our actions speak volumes. Words are not enough to bind two people together. Their actions and, thus, their hands, bind them together as well.
Bride, please face Groom and hold his hands, palms up, so you may see the gift that they are to you.
These hands you hold on your wedding day are the hands of your best friend, tender and sincere with love.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future, as you laugh and cry, and as you share you innermost secrets and dreams.
These are the hands that will wipe the tears of sorrow, laughter and joy from your eyes.
These are the hands that will comfort you in illness, and hold you when you are grieving.
These are the hands that will love and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness, as he promises his love and commitment to you, all the days of his life.
[OFFICIANT] Groom, please face Bride and hold her hands, palms up, so you may see the gift that they are to you.
These hands you hold on your wedding day are the hands of your best friend, tender and sincere with love.
These are the hands that will give you support as you both chase your dreams. Together as a team, everything you wish for can be realized.
These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times and cherish the joyous times.
These are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick and console you when you are grieving.
These are the hands that will love and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness, as she promises her love and commitment to you, all the days of her life.
[OFFICIANT] Please join hands. May the spirit of love and life bless these hands. May they always be held by one another. Give them the strength to hold on during difficult times, and keep them tender and gentle as nurture each other in Bride and Groom's love. Help these hands to continue building a relationship rich in caring and devotion.

I'm doing it - but the shorter version and I'm having my reader say it instead of the officiant.

Re: Is anyone doing the Hand Ceremony?
We are also doing the hand ceremony. MOH and Best Man will do the readings before the officiant reads his part. We are also having the sand ceremony and our own vows.
