FH and I are in contract to buy a condo. I'm a little afraid of being able to afford the mortgage payments and save for a wedding. When all is said and done we would like to have a place to live together and have a smaller wedding. Hopefully our tax returns can help us w/ our wedding.
the same thing is going on with us, we are in contract for a house, i am just worried about affording everything at once-house and wedding
FH wanted to live together before we got married and i told him you tell me how we will pay to live and pay for a wedding and then we can do it. He hasn't said anything about it since. Needless to say we won't be living together untill after we are married

I don't think having a degree depends on buying a house condo co-op etc. I think is more about savings and buying something that fits your budget of course. You can't ever go with something above your budget because that is when you will start to have financial problems and you don't want that. FH insist of getting a house instead of an apartment when we move in together because he doesn't like the idea of renting. But we'll see how things go and when the time comes we'll see if we have enough money to to that. I would love to buy a house but realistically speaking with this economy, wedding planning, i don't know how we can deal with buying a house.
thats why we are renting at the moment.... i cant see us buying a house n paying for a wedding soooo we are renting now and after the wedding hopping to buy a house
