is anyone else getting agitated w/ the organization?
Okay, before I get flamed, I love my yankees. I've been a fan since I was 4 - and I still have my first t-shirt to prove it.
but they're just really annoying me. And it's not really even all the losing - it's the way steinbrenner is trading away every player that has serious potential for the future, for whoever happens to be playing well this month. I mean, how many recent trades for 'big name' players have wound up disaterous?
think about it - giambi hasn't really lived up to his rep that he had with oakland, a rod hasn't really been all that spectacular, and randy johnson isn't even playing all that well. I really feel they need to build up players that are going to be their future, in the farm teams, etc. instead of trading away ever decent prospect to have a chance at whatever big name is out there.
