Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

So I havent had any trials yet but keep thinking that I am going to be most stressed/undecided about my hair. I would love to have it down because its flowey and I think I look my best like this but I also think that it will look to everydayish, the same goes for half up and half down and I've had this style at other peoples weddings before. All up would be the most bridal in my opinion and would like nice, but I dont think it will compliment me the most. I just want to feel like a bride with my hair being special but also me feeling that I look my best.

PS. I have pretty long hair and like the length but when its curled, it obviously gets shorter and Im not as happy with the shorter length with the curls in it...I was thinking about getting extensions and having it down or half down so it will be a little differnt (I know hair ppl with try to discourage me since my hair is so long already but they dont get what I feel when its shorter, lol

hope this makes sense

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I'm stressing about hair. The big thing with me is I hate my hair up. BUT I'm getting married in the middle of the summer so I'm worried I'll sweat to death with my hair down.

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I wouldn't say I'm MOST stressed about hair, but I am def stressed about it.

I want something that's going to be different but that is also going to show off the length of my hair. My hair is naturally wavy, so I like I said, I want something different from the everyday. But on the same token, if I have it in all curls, it won't be as lengthy as I'd like.

I also change my hair color every 2 seconds, and I don't know what color I want it to be for that day either. Because sometimes I love my hair blonde and sometimes I love my hair brown!

Ahhhh, you took the words out of my mouth...also about the color...Im usually always blone and like it but when I do it brown, I love it too and I also love the look of brides with brown hair, lol, dont ask. But I think Im most known for being blonde so it would be weird.

Yah it's so confusing! I feel like since I'm getting married in the fall I SHOULD do brown, but then I feel that I don't want to be predictable so I should do blonde! I'm such a nut.

and as for hair getting shorter--- I SO get how you feel lol

It's like you have all this long beautiful hair and then you put these beautiful curls in it and the length goes away and you can't have both! So.not.fair.

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I'm totally stressed about this. FH loves my hair down. I have long hair but it's really thin. My worry is that it will look too everydayish too (love that word) I'd prefer to have an updo but I think he'll be bummed. So I'm thinking of doing some 1/2 up 1/2 down trials - my worry there is that I don't have Jessica Simpson hair so mine would look kind of ho hum??? Uggghhh.

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

My hair isn't the thickest so I wanted length and thickness so the woman that does my hair made me extentions that I can just clip in and out. They match perfectly to my hair.

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I have long hair too. In my head I picture loose waves through my hair, so that my length will still be there. I like simple hair, nothing too fancy. I haven't really thought about hair yet, but when I do it'll stress me out! I hope I can relate what is in my head and thoughts to whoever will be doing my hair, and hopefully they get it right.

I'd wear your hair the way that makes you most happy - don't worry about what looks 'bridal.' I never wear my hair up so the few times I've had it up, I see pics of myself and take a second before I even realize it's me. You want to 'recognize' yourself on your wedding day. And trust me, after you start playing with your hair and go to a trial or 2, you'll figure it out.

As for the length - you don't need extensions. You still have a year to grow it out and use your natural hiar.

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I am def most stressed about this. I too want a half up half down thing, but I have seen some brides whose curls fell out by the end of the night and it looking scraggly and I think it looks worse than if they had just put it all up. That is my biggest fear! Also if it's raining or something that day I'm afraid they will get yucky. I also don't want it to look 'promish' which I have seen some ppl looking like.....

I am having a trial in May early in the morning and I will be wearing my hair done all day long, even though we are RD shopping and I will look like a crazy person, lol! I am soooo anxious about it!

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

I dont think any hairstylist will discourage you getting extensions bc your hair is long. I had long hair too and infact extensions were just about the same length as my hair, i used it for fullness basically. Many hairstylists will recommend it for fullness. Alot of times ppl think you only need extensions for length but so not true and they obviously dont have real thin hair lol. I have extremely thin hair and if i curl it or do anything to it, doesnt look the same and not full at all.

I think until you have a trial you wont know for sure, until then dont stress. Once you have trials you will know what to do.

Personally, i HATE my hair all up so for me it wasnt even an option. I wore most of it down just bangs pulled back and some half up but very little. I do wear my hair down all the time but then again for wedding i had big loose curls which was different and looked nothing like my everyday hair. No matter what it will look done up and not like regular everyday hair. Also i have had bangs my whole life and always have it down but wedding day i pulled them back which was different for me.

I think that not only should you love your hairstyle but to also remember to go with something that flatters you best.

my hair stayed curly all night long and i have pin straight hair. Ive had other ppl curl my hair and didn't stay but a great hairstylist can make it stay. I was even surprised how well it stayed and infact even next day it was still curly and i left it like that.

I'm definitely stressing about my hair, but mostly because I'll be doing it myself. Did a quick trial yesterday and it came out good, but still undecided! UGH too many decisions to make with these weddings!

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

No stress. I know i want it curled with a little less then half up in some kind of hair jewelery (maybe head band). i feel very insecure with my har all up so that's not even an option.

I do want Jessica Simpsonish hair too - and my hair is thin and fine and doesnt do anything....what about extensions for body? Thats what my salon recommended...

Re: Is anyone else most stressed about hair?

i was really worried about my hair too. I wore mine up because i know DH likes it up, and it was seriously stress-free. it was never in my face, I didnt have to worry about my curls loosening, or frizzing and looking all scraggly like JamDancer said. it was low maintenance. And the way you are gonna dance, I was sweating like crazy - I would have died with my hair down. Go for a few trials, and see what you think suits you best.
