FH and I hate the idea of it and would rather sit at a big table with our friends/fam members... Our BM looked at us a lil funny when we told her... Just curious if anyone else not doing it... or if we are alone on this quest to avoid the giant wicker chair experience...

We're doing a head table rather than a sweetheart table. I wanted a sweetheart table actually, but for some reason FH was really against it....so I figured I'd let him have his way on this one since the rest of the wedding was all decided by me. I still dont know why its so important to him though....lol

If tha tis what you want to do then do it. We want the sweet heat table cause then we will get some time to talk to each other...hopefully But you can have a table with your BP and your family and all sit together. it's your wedding do what makes you happy!!

lmaooo..love the giant wicker chair thing!!! We are having a sweetheart table... but i think it's nice to have everyone at one table too. I just wanted to make sure that all my BMs and GMs could sit with thier wives and dates and i felt like it would get to be a really big table if i sat them all at a head table with us. but i think it's fine to do it either way

I went to FH's cousins wedding in May and FH was in the bridal party. They did a dias table and to be honest with you a lot of the people didnt like the idea because their date for the night had to sit at another table away from them all night. I personally did not like the idea at all being that I wanted to be sitting with FH. JMO and advice.

We didn't want to, but then we realized we're HARDLY going to be sitting down we're going to be too busy making our rounds and dancing! Plus the RH we have is too small for a BP table.

WE are doing a sweetheart table b/c we dont want to separate our bridal party from their family /spouse/ children or DATE.

I was against the sweetheart table until I was in a wedding a few months ago (I was good friends with the groom) where FH and I barely knew anyone. The couple had a sweetheart table to FH and I were able to sit together and it made the night so much better. FH agreed so we decided to do the sweetheart table. I plan to try and keep the BP tables close to us though.

a friedn of ours did that and it looked cute but after the wedding they said they wished they would have had their own table cause the spot the table was in it was hard for the bride to squeeze through everyone who was sitting in her dress lol we are doing a sweetheart trable and putting the BP wherever they want to sit wether its together or with their family members ill figure that out later oin lol

if a sweetheart table is just the couple, then yes thats what we're doing, i also think that we should put two cut out picture boards of us there, cuz we're so not sittingggggggg, lol!

we're doing a sweetheart table...the reason why is because we dont want to separate our BP from their dates...Some of their dates dont know alot of ppl at the wedding so they'll be stuck alone plus im sure the bp wants to sit with their dates
also just keep in mind you'll barely sit down at the table, you'll have to be up and about most of the time

I don't want to do a sweetheart table. I'd like to sit at a big table with our wedding party and have fun! Plus, I really don't like to be the center of attention. (I know, it will be hard to avoid on our wedding day!)
FH and I will have plenty of time to sit alone together on our honeymoon!

I want to do the big table with the bridal party in it. Only the flower girls will sit with their parents. But reading this thread... Maybe my BP would be happier with us having a Sweetheart table.

I have a small BP, so their significant others will be seated with us as well.
It's kind of tough, I have been to weddings where my FH was in the wedding party and I had to sit with virtual strangers. That was not too fun, so I think it is appropriate that BP be allowed to be seated with their guest.
