FH and I hate the idea of it and would rather sit at a big table with our friends/fam members... Our BM looked at us a lil funny when we told her... Just curious if anyone else not doing it... or if we are alone on this quest to avoid the giant wicker chair experience...

You will very rarely be isolated, so I don't think you need to worry about that. From what it seems like, or so I've read, you and FH will barely get a moment alone. The moment of peace you may have while eating might be nice. I'm doing a sweetheart table, but more for the reasons the posters above mentioned. I just don't think it's fair to the BP or their dates to be separated, to be honest, I just don't understand why people would do that to their BP. They're already doing so much, I want them and their dates to have the best time ever. And they will not have the best time ever sitting up there with me and FH. Just my opinion though, you have to do what you like best.

could you put their dates at your table as well?
we have 10 bridal party members +dates would be 20 + us would be 22... dont think table will be that big...

oh i a hundred percent agree dont think its right to split anyone, but feel awkward, well being kinda center... wanna sit by everyone lol. but am seeing the point of the sweetheart table... this will take some convincin to FH.... thanks for the advice gals

I wanted us to sit with our families or with our MOH and BM and thier dates, but its just not gonna work out i dont think. So we are prolly having one. I really don't want to- but guess its not that big of a deal.

we're doing it so our BP can sit with their dates. i feel weird being in middle of everyone but we're going to be the center of attention that whole day anyway.

we're thinking about doing this as well. we aren't splitting up dates so the moh's and bm's date would be at our table...one of which is another gm and the other would be someone we know anyway.
good point about the dress + space though...i wasn't sure who else should be added to the table so maybe we'll leave it at 6 or maybe we'll stil alone. dunno yet.

WE are doing a sweetheart table b/c we dont want to separate our bridal party from their family /spouse/ children or DATE.

That's exactly what we're thinking about doing. We are going to allow the BM and MOH to have their spouses sit with us as well and allow the rest of the BP to sit with their spouses at a different table.

I have stage fright when it comes to sitting in the middle of the room, but we're doing it anyway. Like most of you said, we'll probably never be at the table anyway...

i am having one! but in my quest for the perfect RH one of my biggest complaints about most places was the big wicker chair! my RH has nice comfy cushoned chairs that match the room perfect!!

you'll barely have time to even sit and eat dinner honestly so i wouldn't worry about that...mostly youll sit when its time to eat or you have to go to your table for speeches or something
