Is anyone else overwhelmed?

I enjoy planning the wedding and all but all I have done is the RH...I actually have to call the church to make an appt for next week. I get phone calls every day about different DJs, photographers, bands, you name it, EVERYONE is calling my phone!!!! I pick it up and just tell them to email me and then they CALL BACK the next week!!! Its annoying and i know I have to get everything done, but after looking at a TON of RHs I just feel so spent. I dont even have an urge to look at dresses! I have planned a ton of large events in my day, but nothing like my own wedding and I am just so overwhelmed some days, I can't handle it. Other days I am totally into it and just want to DIY things all night long and be on LIW. I have yet to meet with any vendors. Does anyone else feel the same way? I just want to hire a coordiniator and tell her to do it all..but I can't afford that.

Don't get caught up in the pressure that you have to get everything done in two weeks. Everyone's lives and personalities are different. Don't compare yourself to what everyone else is doing, it'll make you nucking futs. Hang in there!

Thanks for the advise, I think I am just going to do a poll of who thinks they are planning the best wedding and just copy all of their vendors to make it easy for myself...lol

awww! don't worry. ull be okay! just take one thing at a time...it does get hectic...but remember...u still have A LOT of time. some girls plan their weddings in 8 months....so ure way ahead!

i understand completely. I was on a major hunt for a hall and a date, and since then have slacked off. I have tons of ideas flowing but feel so overwhelmed where to start. that's what I'm going to do. One vendor at a time. If I'm doing flowers, I'm not even thinking about music. While I'm figuring out music, I will not worry about photographers.....

that is what i did and i highly recommend it!! i researched each category - picked a vendor then went to see them, i booked all my vendors on the first meeting though i dont have hte patience but seriously since i booked with each vendor its like they completely dropped out of my mind - i refuse to second guess myself! i just booked limos and NEXT is the honeymoon!

OMG these are my thoughts exactly right now...I went to get runners for my e-party uhmmm they dont have runners, they have everything else but that and it was an idiot parade bc the lady there had no idea what runners were and kept bringing out overlays, finally one lady came back from lunch and said no runners and then they keep going on and on about what i can do which i dont want to do seriously...Then i go to michaels and the one i went to didnt have menus or paper to do table numbers on so gotta go tomorrow to long island to a better one. Couldnt get the favor boxes i want, plus biggest frustration is with my dress.

I LOST IT not too long ago seriously wanted to just flip out...i used to wonder why everyone freaks out when watching wedding shows but honestly its sooo frustrating when one thing goes wrong after another, everything you are looking for you cant find. Then searching for what you want ahhhhh its alot. I even said before omg i should just hire a planner to help do these things for me lol.

BUT i guess in the end it all works out lol hopefully.

I am SOOOOOO with you on all of this. How do you work at a linen store and not know what a runner is?!?!?!?!? And how do you not carry it??? Good luck with that Denise! I just want to be able to come on here and get quotes and everything and not even have to leave my house to drive over all of long island to do this stuff.

I might just have to freak out on the day of my wedding and cut off all of my hair while being videotaped because I am going insane!

I dont get it either, its so frustrating...I am a person who is always very nice, even when i go to restaurants, stores or whatever, i am patient and understanding and understand mistakes happen but lately its like DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING!!! i never give people attitudes at those type of places unless they do something very wrong and lately thats all i do.

HAHAHAH i wouldve loved to get quotes and not leave my house, but with RH's its good bc you can get ALOT of help on here and get an idea of how much it would cost. Also with many vendors you will be able to do the same.

GOod luck, and any help you need were all here for you, any questions you have we will answer them, just calm down and try to have a nice relaxing weekend just you and FH without stressing yourself out about this.

I actually had a slight nervous breakdown today started cryng and freaking out that we made bad choices and i had it in my head that our wedding was ruined and it was going to be a catastophy ....my fh told me that i was banned from going on this site because i was comparing myself to too many other people and i was just making myself crazy!!!

i dont know if i can take 11 more months of this!!
