we're not leaving for a few days, but I know there are other girls who are teachers that are waiting for the breaks to take their honeymoons

we are we decided to go 4 days to the Mohegan sun and then next summer plan a big trip some where. By then we will definitly have more $$$ to spend.

We might be. A friend is giving us their timeshare in Hawaii so if it is not available for the week right after our wedding we will just go somewhere for a couple of days and then go to Hawaii when it is available.

We delayed ours also. For a few reasons. First I just graduated school and I start a new job the week after the wedding ( I knew I would be worried and trying to get ready for it when we would have been away). Second we are renting a private villa in St. Barths... and September is hurrican season! So we will go after the storms have settled! Last it gives us something to look foward to after all the wedding stuff is over.

we had so many OOT people to visit we couldnt just leave. Would have been nice though.
I think weve had enough excitment for a few months. I am looking into a cruise for DHs Christmas present though.

I am a teacher and will be waiting until the summer to take the honeymoon..if we decide to..we would rather put money on a house than a honeymoon.

I want to work this summer and take that money and use it towards the honeymoon. If we go on our honeymoon after the wedding then I can't work next summer. That money really comes in handy! Besides, July travel is really expensive! My Fiance doesn't like the idea but I'm trying to convince him.

We waited a whole year! My husband started a new job right before the wedding and was away training for six months, then even when training was done he wasn't eligible for vacation time. So, no honeymoon. We will be going to Barbados for our one-year anniversary/honeymoon in November. I consider it an anniversary trip, my husband is calling it our honeymoon (I tell him, if it was a honeymoon, we'd be going to Tahiti). To be honest, though it was a little disappointing not having a big exciting vacation to go on right after the wedding, I wasn't really bummed about it at all. I had the wedding of my dreams, so I felt like I would have been greedy to actually feel slighted of anything, I just enjoyed the 'Oh My God, My Wedding Was Fabulous' high for a while. Plus we travel a lot, so I know our next great vacation is usually just a few months away. And, it will also give you something to research and plan after the wedding, when you go through planners withdrawal.

we will be - FI just got a new job and doesn't have vaca yet so we're going to Aruba in maybe march or april

I have no choice because I have to go 3500 miles to move to my new home in England.
Our expenses alone just for travel are prohibitive enough right now, so we're going to wait til our 1st anniversary together or something :)
Nothing wrong with waiting as long as you're assertive about it :)

We are.. We'll probably do a weekend trip around the time of the wedding. I'm a teacher, so we are either going to wait for Spring Break or summer vacation for our honeymoon.
