Is anyone else's dads

picking the father daughter dance song? My dad wants to pick the song and that makes me so nerveous...(maybe he will pick big girls dont cry or something silly like that )I am sure if I let him it will be nice but I just thought i was supposed to pick it.

Im actually happy that my father picked the song - bc I feel like its the only request he's had for this whole wedding, and I'm honored that we will be dacing to a sond that he dedicated for me.

I think you should let your dad pick a couple of songs, and then the two of you could talk abt which ones you like the best - and come to a compromise

I think thats a good idea...my dad likes to play a lot of jokes and I love that about him but for my wedding I want something nice and I am sure he will come through for me!

I'm picking the song and dedicating it to my dad, because Im the one getting married. Its prob. the last time I get to publicly acknowledge what an amazing father he is and tell him how special he is to me. I chose There You'll Be by Faith Hill.

Im sure your dad will pick a lovely song for you.

LOL my Dad never even said anything about our dance, who knows if he even knows that it is supposed to happen!! I wouldn't be surprised if on the wedding day I'm like hey, Dad we need to dance our dance now and he goes, what? we have a dance? LOL

But if I were you I would say OK Dad that's very nice of you to want to be involved like that-- can you please just steer away from 'big girls don't cry' or 'cheesy songs' or whatever genre you don't want him to select from... try that!

My dad hasn't picked our song but he told me he wants something my Rod Stewart. Apparantely that is his idol.

My dad did pick our song BUT.....I ask him if he would mind me changing it. He saidit was ok. I let him know I thought my pick was very sentimental and he was fine.
