Is anyone elses hair falling out?

I've been loosing alot of hair also, everyday in the shower and when I run my hands through my hair I always get a strand or 2 in my hands.
What is this Biotin, is it a pill or shampoo??

Its a pill. You can get it at Gnc.

Everytime I get into the shower and wash my hair - I lose a good handful...it's healthy!

I was freaking out, I went to my hairdresser she told me to use NEXUS EMERGENCY!!! 911 Ladies, it is great my hair does not fall out anymore, a little expensive but worth it you have to go to a beauty supply store to get it. I use it twice a week. It cost $42.00 plus tax. Hope this helps

This thread is so funny. I have been wondering for weeks now why my hair has been coming out sooo much. I was wondering if it was stress or if I might be loosing all of it. Now I know I have company...and I certainly never thought it might be seasonal!

I am losing hair in chunks! It is disgusting, and it is freaking me out! Today alone I must have lost 100-150 strands of hair! everytime i run my hands through it i lose 2-3 more! At this rate I will be a baldzilla instead of a bridezilla, and I am positive that is not going to be a good look for me

WOW is that safe for color treated hair ???

A few strands is normal when you run your fingers through your hair. Especially if you're on birth control.

However, there were many minor things that were happening to me, including my hair falling out and crazy acne. (Not just acne that appears, but specific spots that wouldn't clear up) I went to the doctor and they found out I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Many women don't know about it until they are trying to conceive. We were lucky that we can battle this beforehand. If you haven't had a physical, get it. It's always best to know.

It is normal to lose up to 100 strands a day, and I do, but seriously, get your thyroid checked!!! Especially if your skin has become very dry (the weather doesn't help either).

I have an underactive thyroid and it causes more than usual hair loss. Hypothyroidism is very common in women and can be treated easily (a pill everyday forever), but the symptoms usually go unnoticed.

Biotin is said to help, and I have been taking it to prevent thinning as well.

Go get bloodwork done, I hate it too, but it's worth it to check.
