Is anyone getting 2 wedding bands?

I wanted to get 2 weddings bands - 1 with diamonds and 1 plain. There will be times that I won't want to wear my diamond band (cleaning, cooking, swimming, etc.) so I decided to get a 4mm plain platinum band too. Is anyone else doing this and if so are you wearing both for your ceremony/wedding day and how are you doing it?

That's me. I got a pretty non-diamond band and am getting the matching diamond band to my e-ring. I will wear the plain one for my honeymoon (South Africa) and when I don't feel like wearing the diamond set. My plain band was only $150 so it didn't break the bank to do this.

I am getting two as well! Wow, I thought I was going to be alone on this! I just dont want to get the one with diamonds messed up or lost. I will only be using the rock on the big day!

I may be getting two wedding bands, My fh is going to get a celtic knot wedding band, and I wold love to get the same but my engagement ring would not go with it.

So I was thinking of getting one to match engagement ring and then getting one to match his and wear on right hand.

I would get the one to match e ring in platnium since ering is plantnium and to save money get other in white gold.

I am not sure if we are definitely doing this yet, but I would really like to (so we can have matching rings)

PS I dont know what I would do for the ceremony, Havent thought that much into it, probably have him but the one to match ering on my finger and then already be wearing the other on my right hand - but I would ask priest to bless them both

That's what I wanted to do! I know we are going to be doing a ton of swimming in Maui and I didn't want to run the risk of losing the diamond one. Michele, are you wearing both during your ceremony? Someone mentioned something to me about how the priest blesses the rings but can't he do that after or before that day?

My FH wants to get 2. He wants one plain one he can wear everyday and then a nice one for special occasions.

I am also getting 2 wedding bands. One band will match my Fi's and one has diamonds. In a Jewish ceremony you can't get married in a diamond wedding band. But it is nice to have the plain too in case I don't want to wear all of that jewelry

We also have two. The plain gold set will be to vacation with (and for DH to work with) and the other matches my E-ring. I would rather take the chance of losing a - let's say $200 ring - rather than losing my diamond ring - while swimming or jet skiing!

My FH and I going to have two wedding bands also. We are wearing the one with diamonds for the ceremony and getting a plain one to wear when i'm cleaning and stuff and he is working. I am just going to have the plain ones blessed by the priest

I may be an exception, but I plan to get a plain one, platinum. My e-ring is on the fancy/antique looking side (tacori), and any fancy wedding band would dull the look of the diamond. Hence, I'll be matching my FI's band, except that mine will have a small cut out to fit the ering.

I also am doing 2. He wanted just a plain band, so we got the ring to match my e-ring and the matching plain bands as well. I really wanted us to have matching bands.

I have two. On my wedding day the Deacon blessed both and my DH put them both on my finger. He almost forgot the diamond band - the poor alter boy was standing there holding it on a tray sort of waving it at him. Anyway I wore both bands on my left hand that day with my E Ring on my right.

I am going to wear the diamond band the day off. The plain one is a bit too thick for me to wear with the diamond band at the same time. It would drive me crazy. I will ask the Priest to bless the other ring at the rehersal or a few weeks later.

FI and I each only got one and they don't match. (Don't ask me why we did this so early...we don't even have a DJ yet!).

We just decided yesterday that I will get one to match his as well. My SIL got two bands as well and I am finding out that is many brides do get 2. I'm not sure how that works the day of the wedding - but I'll find out as it gets closer...

I did because my husband doesn't want me to wear my diamond weddnig band and engagement ring on the subway to work!! I only wear them on the weekend or when I'm going to a party, etc. So I have a plain, white-gold band that has sporadic diamonds going around the whole band (there's a name for it because I've seen other posts w/pics similar to mine, but I have no clue what it's called). My husband's ring doesn't match mine at all.

I have 2. I wear my diamond band one with my e-ring on my left hand, and a 2mm platinum band with a tiny (head of a pin sized) diamond on my right. I like having a 'not so fancy' ring to wear when I'm at the beach or the gym. I only wore my diamond one on my wedding day.
Neither rings match Patrick's... we really don't have the same taste!

In our case he says black, I say more like steel gray, he says white, I say egg shell... heehee

What sign are you? (Nice pick up line, huh? ) We really do have to get together! How does Patrick feel about flying? Because I'm trying to get Joe to go away to either Vegas, Aruba or even the Bahamas for our anniversary, and unless it's on land, he's not going. Are you available in October sometime? He told me to see if we can take a boat to Aruba, stay at a hotel 5 nights and then take another boat back!! WHAT??? This isn't the bus where you just take the next one! But he still has to FLY to get to this make-believe boat of his. Oh geez, one stubborn guinea, but I love him anyway!!!
