Temple Judea in Massapequa, Temple emanu-el in great neck, temple israel in Lawrence, Jericho Jewish Center and Woodbury Jewish Center. Oceanside Jewish Center and East meadow Jewish Center. Some of the places would not look at us because we were only having about 100 people and they only have parties with 150 and up.

That was actually my first choice but the room was way too big and the catering guy (I forgot his name) was kind of obnoxious about it when he knew we only had 100 people. He tried to convince us that we should go to his sister temple, Oceanside Jewish Center and we did not like it as much. But, I know many people who got married there and it is a great place. The food is good and the temple is pretty. Good Luck, it was a good choice.

I wouldn't worry, everyone I know who had their wedding there was very happy. As I said, if we had more guests I would have gone there too. How many guests are you having? Are you having it on Sat night or Sunday afternoon/evening? What photographer/florist/band are you taking? I think I am actually using two of the house people from EMJ/OJC.

This seems like the thread to post this question in...

I need a reformed rabbi who will come to Chateau Briand to perform our ceremony. I met with one, but I didn't really like him. Who are you girls using?

I am using Sandford photography, Master's florist and Jimmy Osborne, Chain Reaction Band. The Rabbi I am using is from the temple but he is conservative and we do not know him. I wanted to bring my own Rabbi but it wasn't worth it because we still had to pay the temple the same amount plus the fee for our Rabbi.

I'm also getting married at Temple B'nai Sholom in Rockville Center and using their rabbi. I haven't met with him yet. I hope he's good!

ABC7077 - what made you choose Masters and Sanford? I haven't met with either yet. I have an appointment with Masters on Saturday. I met with Pace Photography (recommended by B'nai Sholom) last night and thought they were great, but expensive. If you don't mind me asking in what price range is Sanford? you can email me at [email protected] with your info if you don't want to post it.

thanks so much!
