Is anyone giving their photographer pictures they like (of other people's weddings) as an example of how they would like their pictures to look, what poses they like, etc. Would it be considered RUDE to do that? Thanks!
I am not exactly telling my photographer how I want people to stand, etc. but I am going to tell them different things in the Manor East that I would like to use in the pictures for backgrounds.
ive collected SO many pictures i want to replicate. i think ill just put them all in a word document and email them to her. but the few that i REALLY want i'm going to print out and make sure she has with her on the wedding day.
I will definitly tell them where I'd like shots done & my must have list, but I am not showing them anyone else's work. I don't see any reason to, IMO.

definately! I don't think it's rude at all. I think it would make it easier because they know what you want
I don't think it's rude for a traditional wedding photographer. But, we're having a friend/photojournalist do our wedding, so I wouldn't do that. I do have a list of people I'd like to make sure to have pics of though.
I've been putting together a page of all the clippings of pics that I love. But Cassarino's told me to do it so I can show it to my photographer and he'll try to replicate the shots and he'll get a feel of what we like.
When I spoke with my photographer he encouraged me to show him pics of what I like so he can get a feel for my style. I would definitely do it.
