Is anyone going to CJ/Doodle's son memorial tonight?

I really want to pay my respects and offer my apologies, but I also feel like I'm not respecting the privacy of the family by going when I don't know any of them personally. Can someone help me out here and give me some honest advice on this

I am going. But, I've known Donna & Chris for years. I don't think you should feel weird about going. They posted where it's going to be just so that people from here could go if they wanted. If they wanted only for family they wouldn't have posted it.

Thanks Tracy, I will go. I couldn't stop crying on Friday when I heard. Even though I never 'met' them, it was like one of my friend's suffered such a tremendous loss I still tear up thinking about it.

You shouldn't feel that way. They posted the info, so if you feel like you want to go, don't feel weird about it. I'm sure a bunch of LIWers are going to go. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm going with my DH- I need him there for support.

I am so sorry I can not find the post to bump it up with the address I know it is in Franklin Square, New Hyde Park road is it the one right off Hempstead?

I am going as well. We are all going to support her. Don't feel weird. I am good friends and neighbors with her. Even if I wasn't close with her I would still be going tonight.

I wish I could...unfortunately Scotty has a baseball game and DH is working, so I don;t have anyone to watch the kids.

I also DESPERATELY wanted to go! I have a final tonight that I just can NOT get out of!!! I have tried everything and the professor is not budging!

I am stuck at work late tonight in NYC (first day back ) so I cannot go either, but would've loved to be there just to lend some support

As Stacey said, please let Donna and Chris know that those of us on LIWs who couldn't be there are definitely thinking of them!!
