I've been thinking about it... so we can do something besides sway during the first dance and FH doesn't seem too opposed to it.

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
Fh and I are going to do it if it is not outrageously expensive. I think that it would be really nice to 'wow' our family and friends. I ahve a ? for you though.... if you do go for lessons how will it affect the choice for your first dance together?

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
When FH gets back from deployment we plan on taking dance lessons and having our first dance choreographed. I will be taking lessons with my Dad while FH is away, hopefully we will be starting those soon.

I think we will try to do a few lessons too. I think the waltz is classic and can fit most first dances. Right now, all we can do is sway, too!
I think we will probably take a few lessons. We don't want a full choreographed dance, but I don't want him stepping on my toes and dress either

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
I am trying to talk FH into it...my dad teaches salsa and FH is KNOWN for not dancing, so I thought it would be fun for us to break out into a salsa number at the reception...it would certainly surprise our guests!!!
I would also like ballroom too...ever since I saw the Object of My Affection with Jennifer Aniston...they made it look so FUN!

FH and I are going to take Tango Lessons. FH is from Argentina and we're going to surprise our guests by dancing the Tango right after our first dance!

I had mentioned the idea to my FI but he really doesn't want to, so we won't. The sway is just fine for us!

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
I want to take lessons - well i want to take lessons with my FI. He HATES dancing, I don't even know if he knows how to sway. He is even protesting a first dance, but he knows he has to. He just says can't the BP cut in in the middle of it. I think he MIGHT agree to some lessons. I grew up doing all of those dances so I know how to - he just has to be willing!

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
I want to -- some of my BMs do too. Our bp is made up of couples, so we thought it would be really cute if we had a dance for all of the couples. I don't think we will have time until the summer though.

Re: Is anyone going to do dance lessons?
When we got engaged, FMIL bought us a dance lessons. So we will be going, once it gets a little closer to the date.
we are going to take them...After going to a wedding this past weekend where the bride & groom only stood in one spot & circled round & round, I want people to be in shock!!
FH and I are definitly gonna do it we just gotta find a place in either Staten Island or Brooklyn. We're thinking of Ballroom cuz we both have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing lol
