Is anyone going to have their wedidng bands blessed?

I am Catholic, but my fiance isnt..we rae getting married by a reverend, hes doing a christian ceremony..anyhow..my mom mentioned that Iam not having my rings blessed. I hadnt even thought of this! Is anyone doing this? How can I do it, if Im not getting married by a priest? Ima bit lost with this!

I have definitely heard of this but don't know how to go about it. i have a friend at work that did it and i will try to ask her tomorrow. I want to do it also....

Go see a priest at your church and ask. I had my e-ring (and my whole engaged period of life) blessed by one of the priests of my parish.

Our bands got blessed during our ceremony.....

you can go to the church and ask the priest..

I'm having a catholic ceremony and there is a section in the ceremony where the priest blesses our rings.. =)

Ours isnt a catholic ceremony. I should say that I was raised catholic and have been to church but maybe a few times this year. Thats why my ceremony isnt in a catholic church. Howvere..I did talk toa priest and since I am having a reverned perform my christian ceremony, if I want my marriage to be acknolwedged in the catholic church, I would just have to have it blessed by a priest. So maybe he can bless my rings as well.
I wonder if a reverned can bless my rings?

The bands are blessed at the ceremony.

My best friend is catholic and her now husband is not. Right before their wedding they both went to her church rectory and asked for a blessing from the Monsignor. Try that. I'm sure he'll do it for the rings as well.

are you talking about a catholic ceremony? Because Liek I said..I am having a Reverend perform a chritsian ceremony..I already have exactly what he si going to say, what we are going to say..and ring blessings arent a part of it. Thats why Im confused. Does it have to be a priest that blesses them?

We each have 2 bands. One really nice one and one plain. We are being married with the nicer one and those will be blessed at the ceremony.

Our plain bands we will bring to the rehearsal and have them blessed there

My girfriend just had them blessed at her church during a mass after they got back from the honeymoon.

They blessed ours during our marriage.

You can get them blessed before yours.
