Re: is anyone having a backyard wedding?
I was until FMIL said it would be too much work... If youre going to have an elegant backyard wedding with a tent, china, silverware, liquor, dancefloor, renter bathroom, bartenders, waiters, catered etc - its just as costly as a hall. So Im back to hall shopping.. If youre going to have a BBQ or something it would be so much cheaper and still a lot of fun Im sure.
It really was amazing how much more work we had to do for the backyard..

Not having one but my friend did this in PA at her home. It still ended up costing $20K since she had to rent china, glassware, flatware, tent, hire waitstaff and bartenders. She did have 200 guests though.
