is anyone having their dress made??

is anyone having their dress made?? i have an exact idea of what i want with little sketches i made and all....i know i am a nerd. But i cant seem to find exactly what i want. do you think it would be wise to find a dress very similar and have it altered slighly to add things i want...or have it designed from scratch? i also did not plan on spening more than 1k on my gown. There are just soo many gowns out there at less than 1k that are beautiful. I would rather spend more money on something else. i have found beautiful ones but just not 'the one.' Hmmm....in some ways this is just like dating. So many of them are nice, and pretty and look nice but none of them have Wowed me yet. Very similar to men.

i'm having mine made. right now i have about 3 dresses that i want to combine into one. I mean atleast that way the lady has an idea of what direction to go.
