I have two dogs that i would love to include in my wedding, however my fiance is totally against it. Granted they are not tiney cute little lap dogs, i have a boxer and a bulldog, but still, tehy are my babies. I'm trying to think of a way to include them with out them actually being there....

We are taking E-Pics with my dog Maya!
I'm also going to take pictures with her while I'm getting ready and even purchased a white leash for her, also a flower collar.
What if you had a photo of your dogs dressed all pretty/handsome (bowties?) by the guestbook or placecard table?

Thanks! I will definelty have pictures taken with them and displayed somehow. I am also in teh process of trying to find a place for them to stay during teh wedding and honeymoon...I don't want them in cages the whole time and prices I am finding for boarding are rediculous.

boarding can be expensive but there are a few places on long island that board without crates, where you can usually get a live feed of your dog-i think the place i found was like 30 a day for the 1st dog and 10 for each dog after that..not positive though
do you have any family members that could watch them?

Re: Is anyone having their pets in their wedding?
I have 13 cats and 1 dog who I absolutely LOVE. Yes, 13- we rescued them all. And I would love so much for them to be included; however, 14 animals parading down the aisle might be a bit extreme.
So what I'm doing is this: My mom is sewing a tuxedo and a bride's dress for 2 of my cats, we are dressing them up, taking pictures, and using them as save the dates. (Most likely anyway)

Re: Is anyone having their pets in their wedding?
I so want to have our dog be a part of our wedding. She is our baby :) We even send her to doggie day camp twice a week. She's a 70 lb pit bull so I don't think the church would approve even though she is the sweetest thing LOL.
I was thinking of having pictures of her as our table number pictures as a way of incorporating her into the wedding.

Funny you should ask, we just talked about this last night. We have a Golden Doodle and he is gigantic but we are absolutely having him in some of the pictures. We ordered him his tux and top hat last night online! he has been a huge part of our relationship so we really want him in some of the pics!

Where did you order that stuff? I have a Golden Retriever that I really want to be part of our Wedding. He is my life...I can't imagine him not being part of my day. I am actually going to call my RH to ask if he can be part of the ceremony...my only problem is that I have to figure out how to get him home after the ceremony.

Thats funny that you have those kind of dogs..I have an 85 lb olde english bulldogge and FH eventually wants to get a Boxer! My dog LOVES boxers!!! lol Anyways, I think Ill take pics with my dog as Im getting ready and we also want engagement pics with him in it...Im thinking of using them as table numbers so it'll kind be like hes a part of the day. Then we'll prob have him stay at the doggy day care that my FH works for. Its in the city (upper east side) and the dogs are NOT put in crates overnight. They each have their own cot and a dog handler stays with them over night. If you're interested, FM me for more info!

Re: Is anyone having their pets in their wedding?
One of my friends had her dog in her wedding party .She even made a 'bridal' leash for him. Right after the ceremony she had a relative bring him home. As long as you have someone who can bring them home right afterwards, you should be fine Another idea is to have pics of you and your dogs as your table numbers.

I am sorry to respond so late but I JUST realized like 2 days ago, that I have to check off the little box at the bottom that notifies me when someone responds to this topic! haha...I am an idiot! Anyways, we purchased Tony's stuff off of Amazon but you can also just google, dog tuxedo's like we did! It's not too badly priced either!

I had Nicole Clarke make my dogs into a cake topper. She even made a bone for one and the others stuffed alligator!! They came out so horribly cute :)

Re: Is anyone having their pets in their wedding?
I am going to have a 'flower dog' :) and take pictures with her at the wedding! But a way to keep her in the wedding without the dog being there is to maybe make table names with your dogs picture of different poses? or add a picture to a favor. Good luck!

Re: Is anyone having their pets in their wedding?
We would love to have our golden retriever at the wedding, but my mother would die first, and I don't think the church would allow us to. Instead, we are using all different pictuers of her as the table numbers at the wedding.
Mine are taking pictures with me. But my FH is mad because the photographer will be going to my house so we cannt take picture of his dog, but he does not what to spend extra $$$ maybe we can stop by there on the way to RH to take picture with her.
