I had too..one for the Pittsburgh side (since i live there now) and one for my family in New York.

No I'm only having one for family and close friends (my job always throws all the people getting married a joint shower at the end of the year). However, one of my close friends had two. We had one here in NY for her and then her MIL threw one in VA where she and her friends live who couldn't make the trip.

I'm only having one but I know my friend who lives up by Albany is having 2 - one closer to Cortland (where we all went to school) and another closer to Niagara Falls (where her family all live). I could not even imagine having my BP pay for 2 showers!

my friend is getting married in delaware and her fh's family and their friends are from nj/li.
so i think her mom is hosting one in delaware for her friends...and i think me (her moh) and the bms are hosting hers in nj for his family and our friends etc.
but if she only has one...itll be in delaware and ill be hosting it with the bms (and maybe her mom if necessary).

My MIL wanted to do that - but I put a stop to it right from the start - there is a 20 min diff btw my mom and MIL so there was no need for it and honestly i thought it was a huge disrespect for my mom.
MIL was made bc my mom made it 4/5 and MIL mom wouldnt be back in the states until 4/16 - so it would have been the next weekend, and my mom thoguht and i agree it was too close to the wedding date. Too bad!
I wouldnt have minded going to lunch with the 2 of them, but a whole other shower would have been rude IMO

My FMIL wanted me to have two..one in PA and one in NY but I didn't want that. I wanted 1 shower and I wanted my mom to throw it for me. PA isn't that far and people definitely could make the trip if they wanted...and those that wanted to did....so I was very happy with my decision.

not I but I just attended one last weekend for fh's cousin - it was her 2nd only because she lives in PA and had one there w/ her fh's family.
