Is anyone here a lawyer that I can hire to represent me for some BS with an online vendor? It's one of those 'principal of the thing' things

that is completely unacceptable. I'd call back and ask to speak to a manager, OR call your bank and see if there's anything they can do about it (I assume it was debited and not put on a credit card). they are being totally unreasonable and you may want to point out to them that the first debit they made from your account was UNAUTHORIZED by you and amounts to bank fraud

Does your car have a visa or mastercard logo? Call them and dispute the charges!!!

BBB can't really do anything, but they will note the complaint on their website. Best to dispute the charges. Go into your bank and tell them they were unauthorized charges.

Thank you ladies - I am on the phone with my bank now!

They'll probably require to come to the bank. I had to do the same thing when I wanted to dispute unauthorized charges a few months ago.

I just wanted to share a problem that I had that I was successful at, and maybe you should try. I booked a vacation with an agency one time, and then I decided to cancel, and even though it was 7 months in advance, they wanted to charge me all these fees for cancelling which would add $400. So I planned to dispute the charges. When I called them by my third time, I asked to speak to the manager and said I wanted to try to resolve this before I had to take any action (which probably sounded like a lawsuit, but I meant disputing the charges). This apparently scared them, and they said I would be charged nothing for the cancellation. You got to be a ***** sometimes.
