I haven't made them yet. My wedding is just a yr and two days away. LOL But I'm burning CD with medieval music on it and putting pictures of my FH and I and our bridal party on the cover. I figured that would like nice!

I love my sister's favors. Little boxes of hershey kisses and hugs with a tag that said 'Hugs and Kisses from the New Mr. & Mrs.'

Yes, we're ordering custom M&Ms and then buying small organza drawstring bags to put them in. They will bag them on the M&M site, but its more expensive.

Re: Is anyone making their own favors?

I made my own. We chose to do the love meauring spoon favors. They come in a clear plastic box tied with white ribbon. My theme was beachy. I hot glued small starfish in the middle of the white bows and then placed them in gusseted bags with a supported bottom in a french blue (my colors were cloudy and palomino from the Impressions BM dress line). I then filled the gusseted bags with iridescent Easter Grass and custom ordered heart shaped recipe cards that had ouu name and date on one side with a graphic of a bride and groom silhouette and the other side had a recipe for love . . .

Recipe for Love

Take the sweetest, real soft special kiss
One ensuring cupid's arrow doesn't miss
Add a pair of hearts, beating in rhythm
Also add a dash of hope much optimism
Stir this well mix with romance and care
Bake really slowly, as it needs to be rare
Decorate with hugs and holding hands too
It's a recipe for love especially for you

I hope the pics do it justice

Re: Is anyone making their own favors?

My mom is an artist and had a gift shop on LI for a few years with her handpainted gifts, so I got lots of ideas from working there during HS and college :) Unfortunately my older cousins got married first and used her for favors, so they stole my favorite ideas of handpainted votive holders, taper candles, and Christmas ornaments. I think I'm going to do heart shaped candy dishes handpainted with flowers to match our BM dresses and fill them with kisses and wrap them up.... will post a picture when i'm on the other computer, but they are beautiful i think :)
