I've been a BM in alot of weddings and never received a gift. Seems to be a new trend (or maybe not, just never heard if it b4) .....is anyone NOT giving gifts?

We did not give gifts. We took our BM and GM out to dinner afterward. I have never liked the gifts I received so didn't feel like doing the same to them. But we are not gift givers as it is - none of us ever exchange gifts for the holidays or birthdays.

i didn't do gifts but I did pay for their hair and makeup which was pretty pricy. . also will send one of my BM and her hubby (our last minute GM) an extra gift bc they were SOOOOO generous and helpful with he. .

I have always gotten a gift and will be giving gifts. It may be a more recent tradition... I t hink perhaps in the past, the bride and/or her family would pay for the bride's maids dress and maybe hair and make up too.
