Is anyone NOT doing Save-the-dates?

Is anyone NOT doing Save-the-dates?

I can't decide - part of me wants to do them just because it owuld be fun, but part of me thinks it is unnecessary and just another expense. My hotel won't even open our room block until 4 months before the wedding, so it may be confusing to people if they call and they're told they can't reserve a room. Also, I know this sounds bad, but 50% of the people we're inviting (relative I don't know, etc.) I hope they DON'T save the date! I mean, we're really counting on a lit of 'no' responses - if we do save-the-dates we may get less nos. I feel like the important people (our friends and close relatives) know the date and will save it.

I am only doing STD's for the out-of-towners (my FH's whole family and some of our friends). The other guests already know when our wedding is. The only reason I am sending them is to include info about the hotel....

LOL!!! I'm counting on a lot of people not coming too!! I figure, any who's important knows when my wedding is. Anybody beyond that I'm not going to be heartbroken if they don't come. So, nope, so save the dates for me!

I am not...basically for the same reasons....THe max number of people I want is my room min...and my FH has a HUGE family....so, whoever comes does. Most of our close friends and definitely our families already know the date....

Also, the invitations I want are a tad pricey, so not have save-the-dates offsets some of that....

I didn't do them because I didn't want them to 'Save The Date'. I invited way more people than I actually wanted.

I just went to an engagement party and they put ribons with the wedding date around some candies. It was cute and inexpensive.

I was glad they mentioned the date again because I already have a conflict.

I got married two years ago and I did not do a save the date. My date was picked a year in advance so most of my guests knew the date.

Hope this helps.

I am not doing them, because they are an extra expense. I could make them and it would be cheap, but you still have to pay for stamps to mail them out. My wedding is not on a holiday weekend, and whoever doesn't come, doesn't come! The less the better.

we did not do them. i told people when the date is and included the date on some of our christmas cards for relatives. IMO they are just an unnecessary expense.

we're actually falling below our minimum right now (for A list, so we may just invite everyone) so i WANT people to make it! and all my family is out of state

I am not doing them either. Everyone who will be invited knows that we are getting married and the date.

i'm not doing these - in fact, i had never heard of this nor have ever received one! I checked with a lot of people (family, friends & co-workers) and nobody knew what these were, so i didn't bother.

No save the date cards for us....if it was a holiday weekend or something then we would. Since its not then everybody who wants to come will come and celebrate with us!

Not doing them either. We did not want to waste $$$ and time, but we have a 2yr.engagment and everyone knows when our wedding is. Infact, my sisters MIL has a friend of the family that is having her daughters wedding on the same day as ours out of state, and she already siad that she will be at our wedding.

I'm not doing STD - most people know when our wedding is. Might as well save some money and postage
