- cake topper --- im thinking abotu just doing flowers on top, i cant find anything i like :( - we do letters/love letters on cake table - with 1 month away i dont know if i want to be bothered wiht it - picture/table numbers - i dont know if i want to do it, it seems so time consuming & im thinking it might be too much...
ANyone with me?

I'm not doing a cake topper, slipper basket and probably not doing the We Do letters. I will do table numbers and menus. I am not going to do programs because I am not getting married at a church so the ceremony will be sort of short

I'm having Ryan (who did my aisle runner) help me with the little trinkets.
Andddddddd, the absolutely wonderful/beautifull Jess (Aug07OFCBride) GAVE me her I DO letters for FREE. I liked them because they had a vintage gold color - not wooden or painted.
She's the bestest.

Not doing cake topper OR We Do letters.
I think I am going to get the chart instead of the table cards. It's just easier and Kinkos should be pretty cheap

wavering on cake topper. still undecided.
also wavering on we do letters, we'll see.
we are prob going to do some sort of picture table numbers of our cats of our e-pictures but dont think it will be that hard to make.
i am DIYing programs and menus because i want to bring in our colors, fonts and i am anal about layout and fonts.
i dont like the slipper basket idea so i nixed that at the start. you arent a lazy bride, these are just extras

i did make the WE DO letters-but i decided im not using them now.
was going to buy a cake topper-but changed my mind and decided not to.
i am doing menus and table numbers....
NOOOO SLIPPER BASKET (not a fan)
i would rather put more money into some sort of favor....im doing donations and chocolate covered pretzles.

We are not doing:
- programs - We Do letters - bought a monogram topper but probably won't use it - no slipper baskets - no cry packs
we did menus and placecards... and i'm doing OOT bags and bathroom baskets - and that's it!!

RIght there with you! Cake topper: why waste $$ on something I'll later just keep on the shelf and have to dust? WE DO letters: never even heard of them until I was on here. What's the point? And refer to cake topper re: dusting! Photo Table #s: If the RH can provide them why, again, waste $$, and again do what? bring them home and dust them? Slipper Basket: never heard of until on here. Maybe get my BMs some flip flops or something but a whole basket of slippers and what sizes do you buy? I just don't get it. If people want to take there shoes off to dance they'll do it whether or not there are slippers there. And again, what do you do with the basket ? Take it home and dust it!

I just saw someone mention cry packs: Please cry at my wedding? How presumtuous! Those who are known criers are always prepared. And how many women don't carry tissues in their purse?

i'm not doing a cake topper or we do letters. im doing table numbers...but not pictures.
no slipper baskets but ill probably get my girls and the moms something comfy to wear for later in the night etc.
the other thing that im not doing - bathroom basket for me cuz i just dont like how they look
no cry packs - again probably just a hankerchief for the moms (if they want one).
the seating chart is just everyone's name and table number on a big piece of paper/posterboard etc. instead of individual little cards.
we didn't do any of those things. we had flowers on our cake, and that's it. i had started to do table #'s w/ pics of our kitty, but i wasn't loving how they came out, so we just had a couple of pictures of her on the escort table so everyone could see her, and she was still part of the day. the RH provided menus, and even if they didnt', not sure i would have done them.

No, you're not lazy! Different strokes for different folks... I'm not doing any of it. After I DIY'ed my invites, and after seeing what a grueling task it was, I'm done.
No cake topper- flowers on my cake. No We Do letters- just not my thing. No menus- I don't want to print or cut anything else after I did my invites. I figure that's what the wait staff is for. No programs- the ceremony will be short and sweet. No bathroom baskets- people can survive for a few hours without all that stuff, jmo. No cry packs- not my thing. No slipper baskets- guests know what goes on at a wedding- they can take their shoes off.
The only thing I may do is an aisle runner. With 3 weeks to go, we'll see.

I did a christmas ornament and flowers on the top of my cake instead of a cake topper- i don't like the traditional toppers...each wedding is different- If you don't feel like doing that stuff, don't worry about it- my toasting flutes are sitting in the box they came from- we haven't even looked at them since the wedding.

I have a cake topper, but not doing Pic table numbers, or the love letter thing, I'm also not doing programs or meanus. The reason I'm not doing programs is my Ceramony is at my RH and it's going to be like 25min long. So I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm being a lazy bride.. LOL

i'm the same! somone bought me my cake topper! and i'm doing talbe numbers!
no slipper basket no pedal cones no cry packs no bathroom basket....

this post makes me feel sooooo much better since i am not doing any of these things! my RH provides some of them, so why stress myself out? and with my friends and family, i doubt they'd even notice!
