Is anyone NOT having something thrown at them after the ceremony?

I haven't even thought of it until now!
IS anyone NOT doing this? I'm getting married at my hall, outside weather permitting.

I am getting married at the hall too. We are not having anything thrown and we are not doing a recieving line.

We are getting married at a church and have opted for no receiving line so we wont have anything thrown at us...alot of the weddings that I have gone to recently no onehas thrown anything.

Ok..I feel really stupid asking this...but what is a receiving line? All this time..I've had no idea.

A receiving line is when the Bride and Groom and usually their parents stand and greet everyone as they walk out of the ceremony.

We're not having anything thrown. Our church doesn't allow us to throw anything and since it's December, I don't want everyone to have to wait around until after the receiving line is done.

Im not having anything thrown at me... I seriously stressed about this for the longest time, and then decided against it.

We're having bubbles and no receiving line. The limo guys are going to escort us out of the church first, have everyone else leave and stand outside, then they'll bring us back in the church and out once again before the guests proceed to the reception hall. This is all to prevent a receiving line from forming. We don't have the time to do one unfortunately.

My church didn't allow it, so we did a dove release, which worked out beautifully.

We are getting married at our hall and we're not having anything thrown at us. Instead we are going to have a bell at everyones' seat with a little poem attached. When we are pronounced husband and wife everyone will ring the bells. It will actually be very nice...Pastor April who's doing our cermony told us the significance of bells ringing and we thougt if was so beautiful...so she's actually going to do a whole explaination of their symbolism during the ceremony...so the guests know why they are actually ringing the bells.

we are not having anything thrown at us since we are getting married in January and by the time we leave the church its going to be so dark....instead we are having sparklers.....which hopefully people won't throw at us!!!

What a great and original idea...I love it...and yes hopefully they won't throw them at you!
