I am having a shower/party in Ohio and an engagement party/shower in NY. FH and I live in Florida.
I really don't want to have to worry about transporting all that stuff. Do you think if I don't register people will just give $$ or a gift card, or will they buy what they think would be a good gift?

I'm not registering (b/c i'm moving). Do they all know you are living in Florida? They would probably do gift card or money.

I would register and then return the gifts after the shower only to buy them back again. That just me. People like to give gifts!

you'll prob still get some gifts from those people who dont like to give money.
we didnt register before our e-party and we still got gifts, many of which i would seriously like to return.

i would still register and ask whoever is doing the invitations to include something asking the people to have the gifts sent to your house rather than bringing them with them!

I'm not! We had a housewarming not too long ago, I feel bad registering again. Also, I don't wanna transport all this stuff from NY to Chicago (where we live)/
