Is anyone NOT staying at a hotel after the wedding?

My Fiance is trying to save a buck by not staying at a hotel on our wedding night. After all we are spending on this one day, I feel we should stay somewhere.
He feels that if everyone goes back to the hotel, then we are going to have to pay for the guests drinks at the bar on top of getting the room.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Is he being cheap, or smart?

We live with our parents, so if we don't go to closing on the house by the time of the wedding, he still wants to stay at his house with his parents!!!! argh!
I hope he is joking with me!
If the reason he doesn't want to stay at the hotel id jsut friends carashing, stayat a diffent hotel than they are or one without a bar if the friends are not stayignat a hotel. that way no one will follow you back.
