is anyone on?? i am having a serious breakdown regarding my invites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here woman!!

i just typed my whole problem and it didn't post..it said i was not logged on!!!!!!!!!

i will retype quick

fh and i decided to put my mom and step father along with his parents names on the invite..they have been very generous..etc...

so we put

mr and mrs jane doe
mr and mrs smith
request the honour of your presence to the marriage of

stephanie elissa
and
john michael

etc.....


my father is deceased, so i was conscience not to put 'their children' out of respect....

i just realized that my last name is not on it...my mom/step dad have a different name then mine!

is this reallly terrible???????????????????????????????????????????????????????


i gave the ok to print last week...so i don't think i can do anything about it now....

so u already ok'd the proof?

call the company 1st thing in the morning and see if they can change it

I'm assuming you're having a breakdown b/c they have already been printed??? Who is the RSVP envelope addressed to? You or your mom? If it's addressed to you, don't stress - your last name is on there.

If the invites are still in the proofing stage, you can easily add your last name - and again no reason to stress.

Further, is there anyone you are inviting from your side that doesn't know your mom's last name? Seriously, the groom's family knows him, the bride's family knows her - is there anyone you are inviting that wouldn't know that Mrs. Jane Doe is your mom?????

if u call in the morning and they've already been printed, it's not that bad... atleast your 1st name will be spelled correctly!
and your family and friends know your mom's last name.
it will be ok

ok, so when people see the rsvp address, they'll know who u are.
it is ok...

now deep breath!

i am just so upset that i didn't realize it. i do not identify with my middle name at all, and hate that it is on there instead of my last name....fh wanted his middle name...

i just called him and woke him up....he told me it was fine and to go to sleep!

I'm just as anal. I had serious spacing issues as well - to the point that I finally typed it with the spacing I wanted and faxed it to my DOC to get it the way I wanted.

I really wouldn't stress over this. Look at it this way, if the invite said:

Mr. and Mrs. David Doe
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

invite you to attend the wedding of

Mary Elizabeth Anderson
to
Michael Joseph

it would look off somehow

If you put

Mary Elizabeth Anderson
to
Michael Joseph Smith

it looks redundant for the groom's last name to be there twice.
