I think I will go see it. FH is a U.S. Marine and I think it is important to keep the memory of that day alive for me (personally). I don't think that everybody in the U.S. needs to see it,but I do think that the movie will remind everybody of that horrible day and hopefully revive some of the friendliness that was spread after that day.

I don't think I'm going to see it anytime soon. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to watch it, but right now it's still too soon.

I couldn't agree more. I can't watch anything related to that day...newsclips, documentaries, nothing. On top of this, I know FDNY and NYPD who were 1st on the scene and their descriptions are more then I will ever need to know.

No.. not right now.. It's depressing enough just knowing what's going on in the news lately with the Middle East and ow it could affect us... This world is really going bonkers...

No way. In fact I was annoyed when they showed the trailer when I went to see 'The Devil Wears Prada' in Times Square. I was reading the ingredients on my Reese's Pieces the whole time. I went to see a comedy for Pete's sake!

I haven't even seen a preview, but being that my aunt didn't make it out of tower 2, I have no interest in anything related to 9/11.......

exactly... I don't need to see a movie to remember what happened that day. I will never forget it.
When DH and I saw Davinci Code, I was taken by surprise by the trailer, I didn't know anything about it and I was too upset to pay to attention to the beginning of the movie once it started.

I have mixed emotions. I worked on the recovery site for almost a year. The things I touched and saw are forever engraved in my mind and heart. However from a twisted kind of standpoint I'd like to see how Hollywood is going to sensationalize the events. Only the ones who lived through it first hand are ever going to know the true facts.

i just spoke about this with FH-he may see it...i wont, that day/time was sooo extremely hard for me(as im sure for everyone) and it took me a long time to feel better, i cant watch it, its still too hard, i dont know if ill ever be able to

Not a chance. The fact that it was even made disturbs me. I also lived thru that day wondering where my now DH was & have helped him deal with post traumatic stress disorder. Now the previews are bothering him a bit. This is something we will all never get over & the ,movie just made makes it more difficult.

Peter's uncle has an acting part in it. He is a seargaent in the fdny that they follow.
His uncle has been acting for years and this was a big deal for him.
When we saw previews we saw him and it was exciting.
I am going to see it because I want to see Uncle Vito...but its bittersweet because it will be hard to watch.
So the answer to the question is yes I'm going to watch it.

I lost an uncle in tower 1 and I totally agree with you! I have seen the preview though unfortunately.
