Is anyone planning their own bridal shower?

I did!

I made and mailed my own invites, and chose the place and time. The only thing that was a surprise were the games played - which my cousin did.

Well, now that the cat is out of the bag, I'm a little more involved than I would have liked.

Initially, I did strongly suggest where I wanted it, and that was taken in to consideration. Now I basically picked my menu...and I know that I'm going to end up probably doing the invitations because I have all the addresses. Decor and game wise though, I'm not involved.

I really don’t want my MOH to pay for anything…

She is single girl, has mortgage to pay… I know she has no extra $$$ sitting around.
When I asked her to be my MOH she said that no matter what she will not take any $$$ from me. It’s her duty to pay. I feel so bad.
I got MOH some book on How to be a Bridesmaid on budget (forgot the name of the book)
The other night I was discussing this with FH. He is totally with me… He will try to talk to MOH and convince her that he and his mom will pay for it…

Other than that… I hate surprises! I would defiantly want to know the details.
