IS ANYONE PLANNING THIS WEDDING ALL BY THEMSELVES

I AM NOT SURE IF THIS HAPPENING TO ANYONE OR NOT BUT I AM PLANNING THIS WEDDING ALL BY MYSELF. I HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HAVE GOTTEN MARRIED BUT NOBODY SEEMS TO WANNA OFFER THEIR IDEAS OR OFFER THEIR HELP. I DONT HAVE MONEY IN MY BUDGET FOR A PLANNER SO MYSELF IS ALL I HAVE. IS THIS HAPPENING TO ANYONE ? I NEED SOME IDEAS ON THINGS ALSO. THANKS.

I was basically by myself and of course the lovely ladies from this site.. without this site I think I would had cancel the wedding and just elope lol. So dont hesitate to ask question or do serch

Up until about 2-3 months I did everything on my own (besides a few intial things) FH and I have been engaged 3 1/2 years and my mom went dress shopping with me in the beginning and 2 years ago she flew out to NY with me to look at reception halls... and then crickets for about 2 years. My sister (my MOH) had her first child about a year ago and is currently 6 months pregnant with her second). My other two BMs live out of state.

I know how frustrating, stressful, and hurtful it can be. I had to have a talk with my family and friends and even know my mom and FH are the only ones who helps me. But I do have to say that my mom has been a total rock star for me these past few months.

Have you tried talking to them? Either way if you need any help or just want to bounce ideas around feel free to FM me.

We'll be your 'helpers'!!

FH lives in NC and his sister (my BM) lives down there too. My MOH is in Boston. And that's it. My mom's on dialysis and really stressed over getting herself prepped for a kidney transplant a few months after the wedding (hopefully) so she can't really help.

So it's me and I was driving my FH crazy talking to him about wedding stuff... until I found all you gals! Now I just post my little head off instead of bothering people who don't want to hear about my thoughts and dilemmas... and I feel quite satisfied I'm in very good hands!

Same here, did everything myself until the night BEFORE my wedding. We're all here to bounce ideas off of, steal ideas and just to vent to. FM if you need to.

yes i feel the same, with my Fh over seas and most of my family is gushing over my cousins new baby it seems that all the help has vanished and its just me stranded on the Wedding planning island!

I am all by myself no one from my family nor FH's family gives a damn about this wedding so yup i am alone. Only the lovely ladies from this site have helped me out.

Oh, Darlenis, I'm sure you'll do a beautiful job!!!! My Donna is on a really tight budget, and we are doing everything ourselves. Her FMIL, is even making the jewelry!! I'm doing the pew decorations, baskets, favor boxes, etc. Donna is printing her own invitations/programs.place cards, and making her own reception centerpieces. Mary MOB

So what do you need ideas about? There are many wasy to cut costs. Make a list and ask away, that's what we are here for!

You are not alone!! I am all by myself with planning and paying. I was lucky enough to have my mother come to appt with me. FH didnt due to his job.
If it wasnt for this site, I would have panicked and possibly had a heart attack! I have found all of my vendors due to this site!
It will be frustrating and possibly some tears. What has kept me going is knowing that this is what I want and it is getting done by me and me only. It is making me stronger and so proud of myself.

I want to play devils advocate for a moment.

I think you should speak to your friends and ASK them for help. TELL them you need some support and love.

If you dont tell them they cant know. Dont ait there and wish they would come to you. (and im not saying you are so PLEASE dont take that the wrong way).

What im trying to say is TELL them you need their lobve, support and help. They wont know if you dont tell them.

Im def doing all the leg work. My fh has a say in stuff he is interested in..limos, dj, and rh and yea...thats about it. He didnt pick out flowers, invites, honeymon, favors, gifts and so on. He pretty much said...its all yours! And let me tell you....im tired!
