We decided we didn't want a sweetheart table. I also want my bridal party to sit with their dates and then we'll sit at one of their tables. Is this too weird? Is anyone elso doing this?
I wanted to do this as well. I'm curious to hear opinions though.
I don't think it's weird at all. You can do whatever you like. We would just prefer to sit alone though.
We will not be sitting with the Bridal Party...I'm going to sit the Bridal party at different tables with their own friends/dates (not everyone hangs out with the same group of people)
I would've liked to have them all sit with me but I think they are going to sit out with the other guests that way they can be with their dates and people they know better etc.

I would say if you are all a big group of friends then having one big BP table is totally the way to go b/c it should be a lot of fun! For us, we picked friends and family and wanted them to be able to sit with the people they would be happiest with b/c they all do not know one another.
I went to a wedding where they did it, and I sat next to the bride!! I was very nice to have the BP sit with their dates with the B and G
I think it's because I won't be able to eat if everyone is staring at me, lol. Not that we really get to eat.
At my sister's wedding she had a big u-shaped table set up with the bride & groom and bridal party and their dates. I like that idea because you still get to spend time with the special people you chose for your bridal party, they get to sit with their dates so they aren't lonely, and there is less focus on other guests just staring at the bride and groom!

We are having our own table and seating the members of the BP together, but also with their dates.
At FH's brother's wedding last summer we sat at the table with the bride and groom....
It is a matter of personal preference...

i was thinking of doing that but we decided to have a small table for us and have a table at each end of us with the bridal party

We will not be sitting w/the bridal party. For us it works out better...they all have kids they need to 'tend' to. I also just love the way it looks!
I think it depends on your friends...for us I would feel bad making my BM sit with the bridal party because then ther signifacnt other would be stuck at another table without them and thats no fun...JMO
