for the wedding? we are considering this bc the planning is too slow going with me waiting on FH to put $ in the wedding acct.

If you think about it, it is really not a big deal. If you take out a loan a month before the wedding to pay off the vendors, you should be able to pay it back immediately after the wedding so the interest shouldn't be bad! Do you own your home?
That's what FH and I are thinking of doing. If we come up short for the final payments, take out a loan and pay it back with what we get at the wedding.
Same here. If we come up short we have no other option.

not that I have any problem w/ getting one if you have the need to, but FH and I have chosen not to at this point. No loans, no credit, no help....stressful yes but we think we can make it happen.

we don't own it outright yet...still paying mortgages monthly...but FH has great credit, we both have good jobs and i can afford to pay for the mortgage solo so...he could take on paying the loan back
i just don't want to get too close to the wedding and realize we've come up short. if we don't come up short...we'll pay the loan back immediately. if not we can pay it back quickly I'm sure.

We have too, we already own a house and just got finished putting on a major extension and since im a stay at home mommy i make no money so we cant really save money unfortunately its rather scary but we are getting some help

No loan but its so hard, I freak out every night because of money and I keep thinking about getting one just to help out but I've been lucky and my family has been gifting me vendors.

nooo wayyy.. take loans on other things but not a wedding.. it is not worth it (but.. thats TOTALLY my opinion)

I feel you! Iam taking out a loan. We both have good jobs so paying it back wont be a problem. My FH is in school and its been hard with him having to cut back hours at work. I rather take out the loan now, and pay it back after the wedding. We dont plan on buying a house, so we will have time to save and pay it back. How much are you applying for? I was thinking between 5-10k.
