Is anyone using red as one of their wedding colors? My color scheme throughout everything has been Tiffany Blue with red accents. Recently, I chose a maid of honor and rather than put her in a different dress which I did not want to do at all, I decided to put her in a red dress, as I've been trying to incorporate more red into the wedding. FMIL did NOT like this at all! She pointed out that red draws the eye in photos and said that she had friends who were talking about how someone had the nerve to wear red to a wedding once.
So I'm curious if anyone has had a BM wear red and if it looked ok? I went onto David's Bridal to use that tool and look at the photo of the colors next to one another, the color is an apple shade.
The dresses are being ordered next week so I can always put her back in blue.

my colors are red black and white. my girls have black dresses with red sashes and my MOH is wearing a red dress with a black sash. she may be noticed more than the BM next to her but a BM or MOH is not going to outshine the bride....have no fear!

I wore a darker red as bm in my cousin's wedding (claret was the exact color). The white of her dress really popped in the photos! It looked awesome! I'm not sure of the red and tiffany blue combo though: it might seem a little pop-arty and theme-y. But if you like it, go for it!

I'm not using red, but I think it will look really good with the blue! I saw when you posted your cardbox, and I loved that combo together. Also the example from David's looks great.

My BMs and MOH are wearing red and their flowers will be cream. I am wearing red shoes and will have red roses. I love red. Do whatever you want it is your day.
