Is anyone using the placecards supplied by the hall?
My reception place gave me placecards which I was going to use but I can't figure out how to print names on them! They are a little larger than the size of business cards, and fold in half. Getting frustrated.

I used them Beth and had wrote all the names..... OY VEY!!
What about using clear labels???

i plan on using the ones provided by the hall. i will probably just hand write them.

From what I know, usually when they are presented that way, they are meant for hand writting. Someone would write in each place card by hand. I bought computer ready placecards from Staples for $10 and they come in perferated sheets. They look fine, and then I don't have to WRITE ANYMORE! My hand is still recouperating from the inviations...but at least I learned calligraphy..that was cool...and saved me $$$.
We didn't use the ones from the hall, because they have a huge swan popping out of them! (it's a theme at the cottage). I would have, exept I have an Autumn theme, and it wouldn't work well. I know some places give you placecards..but they have this abnoxious add on the back...I just think that is tacky.

I did the clear label thing...just make sure they are matte labels

Yes, I am at the point where I do not want to spend any more $ unnecessarily. It is just enough already! I don't love the logo, but then, it is not all that important to me. I don't mind writing them out, but I think I may only have to do about 75 at most.

Are you just putting Mr. Smith and guest on one? Or one for Mr. Smith, one for his guest?

LOL....I just vetoed the swan place cards too!! Mary Ann gave them to me and I was like 'I'm going to use my own...thanks.'
I like swans and have nothing personal against them, but they didn't really fit in my Halloween theme.

I bought pretty ones online - they came out great - I printed on the mand punched a tiny hole on the top and put a bow on each one...they look very professional...

they are ivory with red/burgundy westbury manor seal on them, simple but nice. I was going to print my own but I'm just going to use theirs with either clear labels or write them out, besides they match my wedding colors...

I used my halls placecards, I just had my sister handwrite them all, she is nice handwriting.
I thought it would be more of a personal touch.

I used the from my hall and had my calligrapher do them. She charged me only 50 cents and I had to do about 70 of them...to not deal with the fustration I thought it was worth the 35 bucks.
